Young Living settled an essential oil lawsuit by giving customers over $5 million in discounts and cash. The online Young Living Settlement Claim Form submission deadline is Monday, June 24, 2024. The Final Approval Hearing is slated to begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024.

Young Living Settlement Claim Form

Young Living consented to a settlement involving essential oils that would provide customers who bought the company’s goods over $5 million in discounts and other financial rewards. Customers who bought Young Living essential oil products between January 1, 2017, and April 25, 2024, will profit from the settlement.

Plaintiffs in the class action case claim that Young Living made deceptive claims about the “therapeutic” and “beneficial” qualities of its essential oil products. In actuality, the users assert that these items can potentially be hazardous and provide no health advantages.

June 8, 2024, is the deadline for objections and exclusions. The last hearing to approve the settlement will be held on July 15, 2024. Participants in the Young Living settlement need to file a proper claim form by June 24, 2024, to be eligible for benefits.

Young Living Settlement Amount

While agreeing to the $5 million essential oil settlement to end the class action case, Young Living has not acknowledged any wrongdoing. As per the conditions of the Young Living settlement, members of the class are eligible to get monetary reimbursement for goods acquired.

Class members may get $2 per unit plus an additional $5 payment, up to a maximum payout of $25, if they can provide evidence of purchase. Although Young Living says they did nothing wrong, they have agreed to put aside up to $5 million in settlement funds.

To be eligible for a payment, there are two methods:

  • Customers may get $2 for each bottle they buy with proof of purchase, up to $20 per family. These purchases will need to be documented.
  • Customers may get $1 per bottle, up to a maximum of $5 per household, by submitting a sworn declaration saying they purchased up to five bottles if receipts are not available.

Members of the class who do not have evidence of purchase may earn $1 for each product they have bought up to a total of $5. Pro rata cash payments might be withheld based on the quantity of claims that are submitted.

Also available to class participants is a $5 Young Living voucher. The total amount of coupons redeemed is limited to $5 million. Coupons are only good for orders of $25 or more, cannot be used on rewards orders, and have a six-month expiration date. They can also not be combined with other discounts.
