Payments are made on a particular day which is Thursday and you must be confirmed as registered from your college.
SUSI Payment Eligibility Criteria
Before receiving grants and applying for payment students need to fulfil various eligibility criteria which are given below and read it carefully –
Nationality Criteria
- You must be a EU, UK, EEA or Swiss national or have a particular immigration status or leave to remain with permission from the department of justice.
Residency Criteria
- Next important criteria is that you must have been resident in the UK, EEA, EU or Swiss federation for 3 of the last five years.
Educational and Progression Criteria
You require to be progressing in your education with attending an approved course –
- That leads to a higher level of education than any you already hold.
- Other education related criteria is that you are progressing from one year to the next and not repeating a year except in exceptional circumstances.
How to receive SUSI Grant Payments?
- At first SUSI confirmed the grant from the letter. To gain payments you must gain a grant renewal letter from SUSI.
- You need to register yourself from your college for the new academic year.
- Another way for receiving a grant is that SUSI confirms your registration through your college. Confirmation achieved by SUSI at least one week prior to the next payment date.
- SUSI must have confirmation of continuous attendance at different points during the year of academics. Only then payment will be made once continuous attendance has been confirmed by college.
