The Social Security Administration (SSA) released retirement, disability (SSDI), and survivor benefit payments on February 11, 2026 — the second Wednesday of February — for recipients born between the 1st and 10th of any month, who began receiving benefits after May 1997.

Who Received the February 11, 2026 Payment?
The February 11 payment went to recipients who:
- Started receiving Social Security retirement, SSDI, or survivor benefits after May 1997
- Have a birthday (or, for survivors, the deceased worker’s birthday) between the 1st and 10th of any month
Recipients born between the 11th–20th received their February payment on February 18, 2026, and those born between the 21st–31st received theirs on February 25, 2026. People who started benefits before May 1997 or who receive both SSI and Social Security benefits received their payments on a different schedule.
2026 Social Security Benefit Amounts
The 2026 Social Security benefits reflect a 2.5% COLA (Cost-of-Living Adjustment) applied in January 2026. No additional mid-year changes have been announced. Maximum monthly benefit amounts for 2026 are:
- Retirement at age 70: Up to $5,108/month
- Retirement at Full Retirement Age (FRA): Up to $4,018/month
- Retirement at age 62 (early): Up to $2,831/month
- SSDI (disability): Average approximately $1,620/month; maximum $4,018/month
- Survivor benefit: Up to $4,018/month (average approximately $1,543/month)
