The Hillsborough County Surtax Settlement is a class action lawsuit about the assessment and collection of a 1% sales surtax in Hillsborough County, Florida from January 1, 2019 through March 15, 2021. Eligibility Criteria for the Hillsborough County Surtax Settlement

You must have lived in or visited Hillsborough County during the period from January 1, 2019, to March 15, 2021.

  • You must not have already filed your application for a refund with the Florida Department of Revenue of the surtax.
