The Social Security Administration administers the SSDI benefits along with other Social Security benefits. The Social Security funds are gathered from the American working class through payroll taxes.

When will you receive your SSDI June payments?
The Social Security benefits are generally processed on the second, third, and fourth Wednesday of the month based on the birth date of the recipients. The recipients can expect the SSDI payments on the following Wednesday based on their birth date:

The citizens who have received Social Security benefits before 1997 will make payments on the third day of the month.
Based on the Social Security payment schedule, the SSDI recipients can expect their June SSDI payment on the following dates:
- 3 June 2024 for recipients who have been receiving Social Security before 1997.
- 12 June 2024 for recipients with birth dates falling between the 1st and 10th.
- 18 June 2024 for recipients with birth dates falling between the 11th and 20th.
- 26 June 2024 for recipients with birth dates falling between the 21st and 31st.
The SSDI recipients with a birth date falling between the 11th and 20th would receive the payment a day before the designated date 19 June 2024 due to the federal holiday.
Eligibility for the SSDI Payments
The US Citizens receive the SSDI payments when they meet the following requirements:
- You have a disability or blindness that affects your ability to work for a year or more that could result in death,
- You have enough work history for at least 5 of the last 10 years in the USA to qualify for the disability.
- People under 24 years of age may not need to follow that long working period.
The recipients need to present proof of disability from recognized healthcare professionals while claiming the SSDI payments. The spouse, ex-spouse, or child of people receiving SSDI benefits may qualify for the other family benefits applicable to Social Security.
How to apply for the SSDI benefits?
Eligible US citizens can apply for the SSDI benefits in the following ways:
- Online: You can visit the official SSA website and apply for Disability benefits. You can submit your application online, the SSA will review your information. If the administration needs any more documents they will contact you through mail or phone. After the approval, you will receive the payments from the next scheduled payments.
- By Call: You can set an appointment by calling SSA at 1 800 772 1213 between Monday to Friday 8 AM to 7 PM to apply for benefits.
The authority will review the application, medical records, and work history of the applicants. The applicant who meets the non-medical requirements will have to go through the disability examination at the State’s Disability Determination Service.
For non-medical requirements, the review may take six to nine months, the authorities will notify you about your application approval and rejection.
The US citizens who have any disability that may hinder their working capabilities must apply for the SSDI payments quickly as the application review or payment disbursement can take time.
The June SSDI payment will be disbursed on the scheduled date of Social Security benefits except on the third Wednesday of the month.
