Connexin Software Data Breach Settlement

For the claims this Settlement settles, you may only pursue, maintain, or participate in one further lawsuit against Connexin Software Data Breach Settlement Released Parties (as described in the Settlement Agreement). The deadline to remove oneself from the settlement is June 25, 2024.

You have the option to object to the Settlement by notifying the Court in writing of your reasons for not believing that it should be granted. If the Settlement is authorized, you will still be bound by it and will not be permitted to withdraw from it.

The Final Approval Hearing is not something you have to be there for. The deadline for submitting claim forms is July 25, 2024, either online or by mail with a postmark. Claims that are filed after the deadline will be considered late and cannot be approved.

Connexin Software Data Breach Settlement Fund

Three options have been presented to the plaintiffs and class members: a $1,000,000 identity theft insurance policy; reimbursement for unreimbursed out-of-pocket expenses up to a maximum of $7,500 per class member; or a flat-fee cash payment, the amount of which will be determined based on the claims received.

The plaintiffs’ and class members’ attorneys are seeking fees totaling around $1.3 million. Connexin has committed to creating a $4,000,000.00 Settlement Fund as part of the Settlement to:

  • Provide $1 million for insurance and three years of extended identity theft and fraud monitoring services (often known as “EITFMS”); or
  • provide Class Members who suffered specific Out-of-Pocket Losses payment of up to $7,500.00 per Class Member (“Reimbursement for Out-of-Pocket Losses”); or
  • Pay Class Members Cash Fund Pro Rata (“Alternative Cash Payment”).
