Prudential Data Breach Class Action Settlement
Back in February 2024, someone accessed the computer server at Prudential Financial and accessed the crucial details about the customer. In this data breach, personal information of more than 2.5 million individuals.
A few months after the data breach, a case was filed against the company for not taking appropriate measures to keep the details of customers safe, and then Prudential Financial agreed to a settlement of $4.75 million to settle the matter.

Eligibility Criteria
To get a payout from the Prudential Financial settlement, it is mandatory to submit the claim form. To do so, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- You must be a permanent resident of the United States and residing in any territory of the country.
- Your personal information was compromised in the Prudential Financial February 2024 data breach.
- You must have received a notice about the data breach from the settlement administrator.
Prudential Finance and its officers and directors, the judge in this case, the judge’s family and staff, and anyone responsible for perpetrating the data incident aren’t eligible for a payout for the settlement.
Payout Amount
Under the Prudential Data Breach class action settlement, each one who submits a valid claim will get the payout. The amount of the same is going to be different from one another for each claimant, under about it by going through the listed points.
- If you claim out-of-pocket expenses, you may get up to $5,000. One who has spent money for credit reports, credit monitoring, freezing and unfreezing their credit, or replacing IDs can claim it by providing required proof.
- If your Social Security Number (SSN) or Tax Identification Number (TIN) was leaked during the data breach, you can claim $200 to $599; for this you needn’t provide any document.
Note: if you are a resident of California, you can get additional payment between $100 and $599 under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Payments.
Claim Form
The claim form for the Prudential data breach class action settlement is all set to be available up to November 17, 2025; if you haven’t yet submitted it, do so by going through the step-by-step instructions available.
- Go to the official website of the settlement by visiting prudentialfinancialdatabreach.com/.
- Find and click on the option that reads ‘SUBMIT A CLAIM,’ and get redirected to another page.
- Enter your Notice ID and PIN, the same as mentioned on the notice received from the settlement administrator.
- Provide all the required details accurately, choose the preferred payment method, and submit the claim form to get payout.
Payout Date
The payout for the Prudential Data Breach class action settlement will take place shortly after the final approval. Note that the final hearing is all set to take place on December 3, 2025. If this case gets the final approval, the payment may be sent out by March 2026.
Note that if there will be any appeal after the final approval, the payment will be delayed until the court resolves it. Sometimes, the resolving of the appeals takes even a year.
