Who Is Eligible?
You are eligible to file a claim if:
- Your personal information was compromised in the February 2025 Lee Enterprises data breach
- You received a notice from the settlement administrator containing your Unique ID and PIN
Settlement Payment Options
Choose one of three claim types:
- Option A — Ordinary Losses (up to $1,080):
- Up to $1,000 for documented out-of-pocket expenses (bank fraud fees, credit monitoring costs, identity theft expenses, etc.) incurred between June 1, 2025, and May 26, 2026
- Plus up to $80 for lost time ($20/hour × up to 4 hours spent resolving breach-related issues)
- Option B — Extraordinary Losses (up to $3,000): For documented identity theft or fraud losses with supporting evidence (police reports, financial statements, etc.)
- Option C — Flat Cash Payment (~$35): For class members with no documented losses; no receipts or documentation required
All class members who file a valid claim also receive 1 year of free CyEx Financial Shield Total — including 3-bureau credit monitoring, $1 million in financial fraud insurance, and real-time alerts.
How to File Your Claim

- Enter your Unique ID and PIN from your settlement notice and click Login.
- Fill in your personal information and residential address.
- Select your claim option (A, B, or C) and upload supporting documents if claiming Options A or B.
