AT&T Data Breach Settlement: Claim $7,500 Payout Now - Deadline Arriving!

Are you a current or former account holder of American Telephone & Telegraph Company? If yes, you can get a payout from a settlement resulting from a class action lawsuit that was filed against the company for the data breach incidents, because of which millions of customers suffered financial losses.

The company was sued for two data breach incidents, which were disclosed in March 2024 and July 2024. AT&T agreed to the settlement of $177 million to resolve the cases and benefit the class members. If you are a current or former customer of this company, then you will surely get the payout from this settlement.

Note that to get the payout from this settlement, it is mandatory that all the class members, i.e., those who are affected by the data breach, submit a valid claim form by the due date of December 18, 2025. Eligibility Criteria 

In order to file a claim form to get the payout from the AT&T data breach settlement, you are required to meet eligibility requirements.

  • You are a citizen of the United States.
  • Your personal information, such as name, email address, mobile number, SSN, DOB, etc., was compromised in data breach incidents, and 
  • You received a notice with the Class Member ID and other details from the settlement administrator.

Payout Amount 

The total settlement fund is $177 million, out of which $149 million and $28 million are for the first and second data breach incidents, respectively. The fund is going to be distributed among the class members after deducting the attorney fee, administrative, and other costs.

Each class member who files a claim form for documented loss will get the payment of up to $5,000 and $2,500 for the first and second data breach incidents, respectively. If you file a claim form with proper documents for both data breaches, you can get a maximum payment of $7,500, collectively.

If you haven’t experienced out-of-pocket expenses due to the AT&T data breaches, you can still get payment if you file a claim for undocumented loss. It will be received by you on a pro rata basis from the remaining fund after the payout for documented loss. 

How to File?

Online 

  • Navigate the web portal by visiting https://telecomdatasettlement.com/.
  • Click on the ‘Submit Claim’ button.
  • Fill in your Class Member ID and Email Address, AT&T Account Number, or Full Name, and hit the Next button.
  • Enter all the details accurately, and attach documents for documented losses, and choose a payment method.
  • Review all the details you have provided on the claim form, and click the submit button to file a claim.

Offline 

  • Download the claim form from the web portal for the data breach incident(s) in which your personal details were compromised.
  • Fill in the claim form(s) accurately with all required details, and make sure to choose a payout date.
  • Attach documents for each claim form separately, and mail it by December 18, 2025, at the following address:

Payout Date 

The payout for the AT&T data breach settlement will be received a few months after the final approval. Note that the final approval hearing will take place January 15, 2026, at 9:00 am CT, and it is most likely that the settlement will receive final approval on the same day.

Usually after the final approval of settlement, it hardly takes up to 90 days to receive the payment—if there are no appeals. If the settlement gets the final approval without any appeal, we can expect the payout by April 2025. In case of appeal, it may be delayed by six months or even more.
