Last month, the California federal Court granted preliminary approval for the Wheat Thins class action settlement. The settlement administrator has also begun the claim form process for the class members with a deadline of 07 July 2025.
The Mondelez International Inc. has agreed to pay $10 million to resolve the lawsuit, so the class members who wish to receive the compensation should understand the process to claim the settlement payout carefully.
Wheat Thins Class Settlement
The defendants, Mondelez International Inc., Nabisco, Mondelez Global, and LLC, were alleged to have falsely claimed the Wheat Thin crackers as a “100% Whole Grain,” which misled the consumers when the crackers were made from refined grains.
The lawsuit was filed in 2022 by the plaintiff on behalf of the consumers affected by MDLZ’s misleading advertising. The false and misleading claims cause the consumers to believe it’s a whole grain cracker, which violates consumer laws.
The Mondelez refuses the allegations, but it has offered a $10 million settlement fund to settle the lawsuit and avoid any business damage. Class members can submit the claim form by July 7, 2025, and the final hearing will be held on December 11, 2025.
