The Fisher Price Rock n Play class action lawsuit has reached a settlement, the administrator has released the court-approved claim form for the class members to file their claim to receive the compensation from the $19 million settlement fund.
The Western District Court of New York has given preliminary approval to the settlement. People living in the US who think they might be eligible to receive compensation from the Fisher Price Rock settlement and check the claim process and other relevant details of the settlement here.
Fisher Price Rock n Play Settlement
Multiple lawsuits were filed against the Fisher- Price involving its Rock n Play Sleepers saying it is unsafe for the infants. The plaintiff claims the defendants have violated various consumer protection state laws as the defendants have advertised or sold the product as an infant sleeper.
The defendant recalled the RNPS sold in the consumer market in 2009 saying it can affect infants. According to the reports, around 4.7 million RNPS were out in the market for more than a decade and the defendants admitted the death of 32 infants. Around 16 lawsuits were filed against Fisher-Price which is a class action lawsuit now.
Between 11 Apr 2024 and 09 July 2025, the court ordered the parties associated with a lawsuit to make the settlement agreement, now the court has given the preliminary approval to the proposed settlement, where the defendant has proposed $19 million to resolve the lawsuit.
People who meet the eligibility of the class members can file the claim to receive the compensation before the claim form submission deadline, 29 May 2025.

Who can claim the Fisher Price Rock n Play Settlement?
Now, people who meet the following conditions will be class members of the Fisher Price Rock n Play Settlement and they will have the right to file the claim:
- You must be living in the United States, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, or any other US territory during the class period and purchase or possess the Fair Price RNPS.
- The RNPS can be a gift to some other person or you have acquired the product as a gift from someone.
Exclusion:
- People who have participated in the Fisher-Price Recall and cash refund program;
- People who have purchased the RNPS for resale purposes at retail or wholesale are excluded from the settlement;
- The judge and other immediate family members or judicial staff related to the Fisher-Price lawsuit are excluded from the settlement;
- The plaintiffs’ counsel, defendants subsidiaries, and legal representatives are also excluded from the settlement.
What’s the Fisher Price Rock n Play Settlement payout?
The Fisher Price Rock n Play class action has a 19 million settlement fund, where the fund is first used to cover the following settlement expenses before using it to compensate the class members:
- Attorney’s Fees and cost
- Settlement administration notice and expenses
- Service Awards for class representatives
- Taxes
- Other expenses
After the above fees and costs are deducted from the settlement fund, the net settlement fund will be used to compensate the class members who will file the valid claim. The payout for each claimant is still not clear as it will depend on many factors, such as the number of filed valid claims and purchased RNPS, etc.
The cash benefit amount will be cleared once the administrator calculates the number of claims and checks the other factors. It may vary from person to person, so do check it.

- The class members who have received the voucher or Fisher-Price Toy for giving back the RNPSs before 06 Sep 2024 may receive the settlement payment of $10 for each RNPS they have returned to the company.

Class members should know that the Net Settlement Fund will be used to resolve claims for new RNPS purchasers, with a $4,750,000 ceiling. An additional $250,000 will be made aside for POP Purchased claims filed after the deadline.

According to the Settlement agreement, the class members who wish to file the claim for the Fisher Price RNPS settlement can follow any of the following ways:
