The claim filing process of the Bleacher Report VPPA settlement is passed and the now eligible individuals are waiting to receive the settlement payout amount. The settlement payout will be provided to all the qualifying individuals in December 2024 through direct deposit or paper check.
This class action accused the defendant shared the user’s personally identifiable information with Facebook without permission in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act. Bleacher Report agreed to pay up to $4.8 million payout to those customers who have an account between 25 January 2021 and 21 May 2024.

Bleacher Report has agreed to deliver maximum Settlement Funds of $4,800,000. The settlement funds will be utilized to pay the attorneys fees or expenses, class representatives services award, notice and settlement administration costs, and to pay the settlement benefit amount to the eligible individuals.
The exact Settlement Class Member payout amount is not disclosed by officials yet. But it is expected that the amount of per person payout will depend on how many individuals file valid claims.
