How Much CCB Will You Receive in April 2026?
CCB payments in April 2026 are based on the 2025–26 benefit year calculation, which uses your Adjusted Family Net Income (AFNI) from your 2024 tax return. The maximum annual benefit rates for the 2025–26 benefit year are:
- Children under 6 years old: Up to $8,157 per year ($679.75/month)
- Children aged 6 to 17: Up to $6,883 per year ($573.58/month)
These amounts represent a $160/year and $135/year increase, respectively, over the 2024–25 benefit year rates. Your actual CCB amount decreases as your AFNI increases above the maximum benefit threshold. Families with multiple children receive the benefit for each qualifying child.
Important for July 2026: Starting with the July 18, 2026 payment, CCB amounts will be recalculated based on your 2025 tax return. Filing your 2025 taxes on time is critical to ensure the CRA has accurate information for your new benefit year amounts.
