The federal court has preliminarily approved the proposed settlement of the Cencora Data Security Class Action. The lawsuit was filed against Cencora, Lash Group, or other affiliates over the data security incident, where a third party accessed people’s personal information.
The defendant disclosed the data incident on February 27, 2024, and provided the notice to the individuals about the data security incident. Cencora filed the Form 8-K with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, confirming the data incident may have caused the leak of personal information.
Now, the federal court has approved the proposed settlement agreement, which both plaintiff and defendant agree to. The defendant disagrees with any wrongdoing, but proposes a settlement with a $40 million fund and ends the litigation.

Who can claim the Cencora data security settlement?
If you wish to claim the Cencora Data security settlement payout, you should ensure that you are a class member, that is, you meet the following conditions:
- You are residing in the US and its territories, and your personal information is affected due to the Cencora data security incident reported in February 2024.
- You must have received the mailed notice from Cencora or the incident notice about the data breach, and something happened between 01 September 2023 and 05 August 2025 that you suspect that your personal information was misused or any other information that may be linked to your personal information breach due to the Cencora data incident.

The Cencora data incident settlement provides a $40 million settlement fund, where first it will be used to cover approved service awards for class representatives, attorneys’ fees & costs, administration expenses, and other costs.
The remaining fund after the above expense deduction will be the net settlement fund, which will be used to compensate the valid claimants based on the following settlement benefit:

- You can receive the payout up to $5000 if you have proper documents proving your personal information loss due to the Cencora data incident.

- Cash Fund:
