Oracle Class Action Settlement Payout Date 2025: When to expect your payment?

The Class action settlement against Oracle America was finalized in November 2024, but the class members who have filed the claim are still waiting for the payout. If you are one of the valid claimants, you can check the expected settlement payout date and other information here.

Oracle Class Action Settlement Payout Date

Oracle America and the plaintiffs agree to settle the class action lawsuit over the privacy settlement with a $115 million settlement fund. The District Court of the Northern District of California granted final approval for the settlement on 15 November 2024, but various appeals have been filed.

Due to the appeals, the settlement payment and distribution are halted until the appeals are fully resolved. Most of the appeals were filed to reject the plaintiff’s attorney $22.8 million legal fees. The decision appeal is yet to be taken; the administrator will issue an update on the appeals on the official website.

The appeals can take months or longer to be resolved, so there is no definite payout date until we have an update on the appeal hearings. But if the appeal is resolved by the end of 2025, you can expect the Oracle settlement payouts by mid-2026.

What will be the Oracle Class Action Settlement payout?

The Oracle class action settlement established the $155 million settlement fund, out of which not only the class members will receive compensation, but also for other expenses. The compensation to the class members will be paid after the administrator deducts the attorney fees & costs, administration costs, and service awards to class representatives.

The class members who have filed the claim before the deadline of 17 October 2024 will receive an equal payment on a pro-rata basis from the net settlement fund. The settlement administrator has not estimated the individual claimant’s amount, as it will depend on the number of claims filed and other factors.

So, the payout amount cannot be estimated until all the claims are verified and the net settlement fund is decided after the distribution of the funds.

What if your submitted information is changed?

It’s been almost a year since the class members filed the Oracle class action settlement claim form, so there is a possibility that some of you have moved to another place or your payment method information has changed. In that situation, it is your responsibility to inform the administrator about the changes.

If you fail to update your payment method information, you might lose the chance to receive your payout whenever the distribution begins. So, you must inform the settlement administrator about changes through the Contact page on the settlement website, by mail, or by phone.

Oracle America faced a class action lawsuit over unlawful activity that violated the privacy rights of the individuals, as the company shared, collected, and sold the individuals’ offline and online data to third parties without their authorization.

If you have filed the claim form before the deadline and your personal information was compromised, you should regularly check the official website to stay updated on the appeal proceedings and payment distribution of the settlement fund.
