On June 27, 2025, a class action lawsuit was filed against the Cash App for sending unsolicited referral text messages to Washington residents. After that, the company agreed to a settlement of $12.5M, which got the preliminary approval on June 30, 2025.

Who can submit the claim form?

- You must be a permanent resident of India and live in Washington;
- You have received a Cash App referral text message between November 14, 2019, and August 7, 2025;
- You must not have explicitly consented to receive this referral; and
- You must not have opted out, i.e., excluded yourself from the class members.
