The Internal Revenue Service has already released the first, second and third stimulus check. One who has not yet received the Economic Impact Payment can file 2020 and 2021 tax refunds to get the payment of the first & second and third stimulus check, respectively. In 2020, the first and second stimulus checks were sent to taxpayers under the CARES Act and in 2021, a third stimulus check was released under the American Rescue Plan.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the US Government had sent first and second stimulus checks as Economic Impact Payment in 2020 and third in 2021 under CARES Act and American Rescue Plan, respectively. Approximately more than 90% of taxpayers have received the payment of a stimulus check through direct deposit and mail, those who have not yet received the first, second or third stimulus check can claim Recovery Rebate Credit for 2020 or/and 2021 to get the payments.
Who is eligible to get an IRS Stimulus Check?
Those who paid tax in 2020 and 2021 and yet received any of all three stimulus checks can claim Recovery Rebate Credit by e-filing for tax return for that year. To claim it one must have details of 2020 and 2021 tax years, to claim refund, it is mandatory to have Social Security Number, Refund Amount, and other basic details. Before claiming the Recovery Rebate Credit for 2020 and 2021, first of all an individual will have to login into an IRS online account and find out the amount of first, second and third economic impact payments under the Tax Record page.
What if one has not yet received any Stimulus Check?
There thousands of taxpayers who have not yet received Economic Impact Payment of 2020 and 2021, out of which, a huge number of it those who don’t have received any payment of stimulus, and few are those who had received the first and second stimulus and not the third, if you are one of those who have not yet received any or all payments of stimulus checks they can get it by claim it through the Recovery Rebate Credit, to do so, one has file refund or amended return for year 2020 or/and 2021.
Will there be a 4th Stimulus Check?
Internal Revenue Service has not yet confirmed any update about the fourth stimulus check, as per many reliable media source, many states of US are sending the fourth stimulus to their peoples to fight with inflation, to find out that your state people is getting the benefits of 4th stimulus check or not, you may contact your Department of Taxation or Finance, to get the stimulus payment in any State, one has to file State tax return and claim it by submitting the required details.

There was a web-based tool named Get My Payment, which was used to track the payment of Stimulus check, as all first, second and third stimulus check of Economic Impact Payments had been released in 2020 and 2021, respectively, by the Internal Revenue Service, it is now no longer available, once who has not yet received any of all stimulus payment via check or direct deposit, he or she can claim Recovery Rebate Credit by e-filing for tax return for year 2020 and/or 2021, and after that he or she will be able to track it’s status using “Where’s My Refund” tool.
How to e-File for tax return for year 2020 or/and 2021 to claim Stimulus payment(s)?
Those who have not yet e-Filed for tax return for year 2020 and/or 2021 not yet received the first and second and/or third Economic Impact Payment, respectively, can file for return through the Internal Revenue Service’s Free File to claim it, to do so one has to taxation details of that year, and provide basic details such as Social Security Number, Filing Status, Refund Amount, etc.
