In 2023, Social Security benefits are disbursed on varying Wednesdays each month based on the recipient’s birthdate. Those born from the 1st to the 10th receive payments on the second Wednesday, while those born from the 11th to the 20th are paid on the third Wednesday. Those born between the 21st and the 31st receive their benefits on the fourth Wednesday. These payment schedules are important for the 65 million Americans who receive these vital financial supports.
SSA Payment Schedule 2023
In 2023, Social Security benefit payments are scheduled on a monthly basis. The payment day depends on the recipient’s birthdate, falling on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday of each month. This system ensures that beneficiaries receive their benefits in a staggered manner throughout the month, helping them manage their finances effectively. Additionally, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments follow a different schedule, typically occurring on the first of each month, with exceptions for weekends and holidays.
Social Security checks are distributed over an extended period, on the 2nd, 3rd, and a fourth Wednesday of every month by the Social Security Administration (SSA). How you are paid on the day of month depends on your date of birth . If you were born between 1 and 10, your Social Security check will come on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. If your birthday is between November 11th & 20th, you will get your payment on the third Wednesday of every month. If it’s between the 21st and the 31st, you get paid. It’s the fourth Wednesday of every month.
