The Oracle Data Privacy Settlement is about Oracle Corporation which agreed to pay $115 million to settle allegations of improper data collection and sale without user consent. It has been seen that Oracle has violated the privacy rules but it denies all the allegations and wrongdoings. 

From August 19, 2018 to the date of final judgement if any individual faces privacy issues with the shared information with Oracle then they are eligible to take part in this settlement. Angeion Group, LLC is the settlement Administrator and they will be responsible for receiving of claims, verification of claims and then paying the settlement fund to class individuals.

Under this settlement, Oracle is responsible to distribute almost $115 million to resolve this settlement. This settlement fund will be distributed in valid claimants, Settlement Administrator’s costs and fees, or any court-approved attorneys’ fees and expenses, and Service Awards for the Class Representatives.

After deducting all the fees and costs related to the settlement, the remaining settlement fund will be provided to valid claimants on a pro rata basis. There is no exact payment set for per person by the settlement administrator because the number of total claim forms are unknown yet. 

Individuals will receive their settlement payout through Zelle, Venmo, ACH Transfer, virtual prepaid card or paper check if the settlement approves on the day of final hearing. It’s expected that after the approval of settlement, administrators will take almost 6 to 9 months to distribute the fund among eligibles.
