The Singapore government offers an Assurance package to support eligible Singaporeans with the rising cost of living. The Assurance package has cash payments, GST vouchers, U-Save, and Seniors Bonus.
Under the package, Singaporeans receive a cash benefit each year in December. The assistance will be given till 2026, some Singaporeans have received the Assurance Cash payment early and some are still waiting, let’s see when you can expect your Assurance payouts.
OCBC Assurance Package Payouts
The Singaporeans who are eligible for the Assurance package may receive a cash payment of up to $600 this December 2024 for the reference year 2025. The Assurance package payment date is based on the payment method.
However, according to the news, the OCBC (Overseas-Chinese Banking Corporation) account holder received early payment on 03 December 2024 due to the government initiative to provide financial support to the citizens early. The early disbursement has led to people being confused about their payment as the official date of disbursement is 05 Dec 2024.
Singaporeans who qualified for the AP Cash but do not have an OCBC account and are confused about the payment, should not worry as the payment will officially be disbursed from 05 Dec 2024 only. This December Singaporeans will receive many benefits from the government announced in the 2024 budget to improve their health & life and retirement savings.
Assurance Package Payout Dates
As we have mentioned earlier, the Assurance Package Cash payment date depends on the payment method conditions you met and required to process the payments.
Based on the AP Cash payment rules, the recipient can check their upcoming payment date based on the payment method below:
- PayNo-NRIC linked Bank Account: Singaporeans who have linked PayNow with NRIC (National Registration Identity Card) GIRO participating banks before 23 Nov 2024 or already have the PayNow-NRIC linked bank account will receive the AP cash payment on 05 Dec 2024. People who have PayNow-NRIC should know this will be the defaulted payment method.
- Bank account: Singaporeans who do not have a PayNow-NRIC linked account but have a bank account provided to the government previously, receive the payment directly to their bank account from 16 December 2024.
- GovCash: People who do not have a PayNow-NRIC linked account and bank account provided to the government will receive the AP Cash through the GovCash from 24 December 2024.
If your eligibility for the AP Cash payments is reassessed by the authority, you may receive the payment in the next two months, so inquire about it if you do not receive the payment on the mentioned date.
Assurance Package Payouts Amount
The Assurance Package cash payment depends on many factors: assessable income in 2023 and property owned by the Singaporeans. Based on these factors, the Singaporeans will receive the following AP Cash payment based on the condition they met:

The government will provide the Assurance Package cash payment till 2026 for the Singaporeans to support them with the rising cost of living. The payment will decrease for the year 2026 based on income and property ownership.
Assurance Package Payouts Eligibility Criteria
Singaporeans who meet the following eligibility requirements will receive cash payments of up to $600:
- You are living in Singapore and hold Singapore Citizenship;
- You have attained the age of 21 years or over in 2025 to receive payment in 2024.
- Your Assessable income in 2023 includes employment income, rental income, and trade income, and comes after deducting approved donations and allowable expenses would be noted and the payment will be based on the accessible income.
Exclusion:
- People who hold Singaporean citizenship as well as other foreign citizens will be excluded from the AP Cash. If you wish to receive the cash payment you must approach the ICA (Immigration Checkpoints Authority) to check the issue and address your citizenship matter. If it is resolved you may receive the AP Cash payment in the next two months.
How will you identify the AP Cash payment?
The Assurance Package Cash payment does not need any application, the government pays the financial assistance to the eligible Singaporeans automatically based on the data recorded in the government records.
The government will send you a letter of notice after they disburse your AP Cash benefit with any payment method to let you know that your payment is disbursed. Singaporeans can also check their AP Cash payment details with their Singpass. The citizens should know the text message or notice will be sent to them based on their Singpas-registered number or address mentioned on their Singapore Identity Card.
Singaporeans should know the notice or text message is just to inform you about the payment disbursement, so you do not need to click any link or respond to the message.
