The MO Tax-Free Weekend 2024 will be the weekend of August 2–4, 2024. State statute requires the sales tax holiday to start on the first Friday of August and last until the following Sunday.

Where Does The Tax-Free Weekend Apply?

According to the Missouri Department of Revenue, all retailers in the state are complying with the tax-free weekend. Senate Bill 153, approved in 2021, removed the option for communities inside the state to exempt themselves from paying the sales tax.

How Much Items Can Cost To Be Tax-Free?

In order to avoid paying taxes, some goods do have price limits. The state of Missouri’s revenue department states:
