When to expect?

Taxpayers who have filed the tax return before the deadline or earlier cna now expect the DOR to send the tax refund based on the regular instructions they have submitted in the tax form. The Georgian tax refund payment date depends on the way they have filed the tax return and the payout mode they have selected.

The Georgian tax authority will typically process the tax refund in three weeks if they have e-filed the return or more than 90 days through physical checks; However, because of the end-of-season rush, tax returns filed close to the deadline might get a slightly delayed refund.

With the surplus tax refund, the taxpayers can save up to $870 million this year through the tax they have paid and get some financial relief to get their hard-earned money back.
