ACWB Payment Dates 2025
The Canada Workers Benefit or refundable credit reduces the financial burden of low-income earners. This initiative covers the needs of the workers who can’t manage their expenses with their low earnings. The benefit ensures that you get support for your hard work and encourages people to work.
Under the CWB, the government offers ACWB where the CWB recipients get half of the CWB payment in advance. The advance of the CWB payments gets issued to the recipients three times a year and puts some money back in the individual’s and family’s pocket to survive the rising cost of living.
In a year, the CWB recipients receive the payment from July, followed by October and January. So, the CWB recipients now await their January 2025 payments, which will be disbursed to them on 10 Jan 2025, however, if the pay date falls on Sunday, Saturday, or public holiday, the CRA will make the payment early on the last business day before the pay date.
ACWB Payment Amount Jan 2025
The Canada Workers benefit payout has two components, where one is the basic amount and the other one is disability supplement. The disability supplement is offered to people who have a disability and are working.
So, as the ACWB payment is 50% of the CWB benefit, the CWB recipients will receive 50% of the basic amount and 50% of disability supplement (if they qualify). The ACWB payment depends on the CWB payment you receive from the CRA, hence, the CWB recipients can calculate their payment through the CRA online tool if they wish to.
However, to give you an idea, you must know the CWB payout which CRA calculates based on the income, family net income, marital status, the province you are living in, eligible dependent, and disability tax credit. Based on the CRA, the maximum CWB payout is as follows:
- Basic CWB Benefit:
- For individuals, the maximum payout is $1518

- Disability Supplement CWB Payout:
- For single people and families, the maximum supplement is up to $784

How to claim the ACWB Payment 2025?
The Canadian workers do not have to apply for the Advanced Canada Workers benefit as the CRA will automatically pay the calculated advanced payment to the people who qualify for the CWB. Canadian workers just need to claim the CWB with their tax return to get the ACWB payment automatically.
If Canadians file the tax return through mail, they must file the tax return with Schedule 6, and if you are entitled to the disability tax credit you must claim both the CWB component (Basic amount and Disability Supplement payout).
The CRA will send you the ACWB payment for three themes in the financial year when you are entitled to the CWB amount in your tax return. With this benefit, the workers receive advanced payment that will help them manage their household expenses.
The CWB recipients will receive their advanced payment on 10 Jan 2025 if they have claimed the CWB in their tax returns. The benefit encourages the people to work and get support to cover their expenses from the government.
